Some of the things the kids looked back on most favorably were: The Halloween/Costume party and its costume competition; the Christmas program, which was excellent thanks to all their hard work; February and their month of Caring and Sharing, which led to collecting cans for Community Hope, raising money for Haiti, hosting a Bake Sale, which raised funds for children in the hospital; making delicious praying arm pretzels; and for the kindergarten/1st grade class-they loved going on weekly Bible verse word searches in their classroom throughout the year.
For me, in my first year as the Christian Education director, this was an excellent introduction into this new job. These spectacularly awesome kids don't make it feel like a job, though. I look forward each week to seeing those beautiful, special faces and hearing about their weeks and what they're looking forward to.
So, as we head into our last day of Sunday School this spring, I hope you'll join me in looking forward to Vacation Bible School. Keep checking back on the website for details!
Have a safe and happy summer! We'll see you in church and at VBS-bring a friend!
With love and blessings on your summer,
