We've experienced a slight hiccup in our ability to get the Advent wreaths handed out tomorrow, November 21st as originally promised. For various reasons, it's looking like we'll have to hand them out on the first Sunday of Advent, November 28th. You have my most sincere apologies - I prefer you have the wreaths well in advance, but what's a girl to do when life conspires against her?
For sure, without fail, we will get you the wreaths for that first Sunday in Advent, so please be sure to be there! If you want one and you miss the hand out day, just check in with me and we'll make it happen!
Reminder: The wreaths need to be returned after Christmas so that we can continue to share them each year.
See you in Sunday School, bring a friend!
We had our first Christmas Program rehearsal today, November 20th, and it was awesome! I couldn't believe how many of the kids made it to the rehearsal in the midst of this crummy, CRUMMY weather! After having gone through the play with all the kids I'm even more excited now. All the kids did a great job of doing everything I asked of them - from talking loudly and adding emotion to their lines to singing out loud and clear. Like I said - it - was - awesome!!!
Our next practice will be on Wednesday, December 1st from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Dress Rehearsal will be on Saturday, December 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
*We will feed you lunch!
I can't wait! You guys were so outstanding today! Thank you parents for getting the kids there in this horribly crummy and cold weather.
If you weren't able to make it to practice today, but would like to start working on the songs with your children (and there are a lot of them), click here for the songs and lyrics.
Thanks everybody! Hope to see you in Sunday School tomorrow. Drive safe!
Much love and blessings on your week,

With the Fall Carnival successfully behind us, it’s time to turn our sights towards the Christmas Program. As I studied my calendar tonight I see that the church will be extremely busy on Saturdays from now until the Christmas program, which will be on Sunday, December 12, 2010. Counting today we are only five Sundays away from show-time, therefore we might have to consider some weekday practices.
Here’s what we’re up against, schedule-wise:
Practice Schedule (You’ll be notified if there are changes to the schedule):
From now until the program, please be sure to check in regularly here for any updates or reminders regarding the program.
