For the past few years at Laurel UMC we've chosen the Sunday before Halloween and turned it into a costumed extravaganza that spills into the following Sunday. And I'm here to tell you that things are no different in 2013! The kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to Sunday school (keeping it church appropriate, please!) where they will take part in a costume contest. The kids and teachers get to vote on: *Best All Around Costume *Cutest Costume *Most Original Costume *Funniest Costume Prizes are awarded in each category the following Sunday. And this year we've added a little twist to this fun-filled Sunday: The teachers will be carving pumpkins and presenting them for the kids to vote on those as well. The classroom/teacher with the most votes will get to have a party! So, be sure to come decked out in your Halloween best this Sunday, October 27, 2013. And of course, bring a friend!
